White Tuesday

Outside: more snow than we had expected :: a fresh coat of white on the foothills :: fluffy icing on the plum trees :: winter jasmine flowers in the snow :: just enough snow to look pretty and to remind us that winter isn't over yet.

Inside: puttering with my Girl Bear :: cooking, real and pretend :: sitting in a bright window with something new on the hook :: "continuous soft rock" on the radio :: tea and music and chatter until it was time for ballet.

  1. Jennifer, lovely photos. :) We are snowed in, and staying warm as well. I haven't made it out to take photos, but I did make it out to shovel the sidewalk. I hope you have a lovely Tuesday.-Stay warm.

  3. When it came the snow certainly made it's presence felt by the looks of things! I expect that the little bears were pleased to see it. Looking forward to seeing what the crochet turns into - I like your colours! xx

  6. You are sharing some lovely photos Jennifer, thank you. I wish for some snow over here, we've not had a single snowflake this year. Cx

  7. Wonderful, how lovely to see the snow. None here yet this year, and I'm guessing there won't be now. We quite often have years with no snow, which makes it all the more exciting when we do have a few white days. Sitting in the window with some crochet sounds idyllic. I'm very envious of people who can just whip up beautiful little things with a crochet hook.

  11. Snow! So exciting. We are determined to drive to the snow this winter, so the boys can have their first touch of the white stuff. It's hot here so I'm loving the glimpses of your winter season xo

  12. You can have some of our snow :) We have had one of the worst winters in 20 years here. Below zero and way too much snow. My oldest has missed 2 weeks of school in the last month. It looks pretty though! I love your pictures, you are getting really good at getting angles and using different perspectives. I hope your having a great week :)

  15. Lovely photos.. we had snow flurries today too, and it's cold enough to stick.. but it wasn't enough to show. But who knows, we might in the next few days. Looks cozy inside though! What did you cook?
Wish you could have joined Betsy, Gracie, Taci and I for lunch today! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  19. First you soothed us with the calm of white. Then you woke us up with a brilliant burst of COLOR! Then you eased us back down again - wow! What skill you have with that camera, and what a sense of artistry in presentation!

  25. It looks very pretty where you are. We haven't had a single flake this year. In fact we have a great thunder storm going on at the moment with big thunder and lightening! Julie x

  26. Lovely photos. We haven't had any snow yet this year, I'm hoping that it passes us by and we don't get any at all. I don't mind if we're all tucked up indoors but I'm not so keen on going out in it.

  27. Oh and it was so nice to see your children playing outside last week up the tree and now it is snowing bu that brings different joys and challenges. That Nut bread looks fab btw. Jo x

  28. Lovely photos :) I don't think we're going to get any snow this year - the air doesn't feel 'right' for snow. We did have a hailstorm this morning, along with thunder and lightning for a few minutes. That was unexpected!

  29. Lovely, it looks so cosy inside and beautiful outside. We still haven't had any snow this winter, just endless rain, rain, rain... x

  38. Your photos of the snow are simply stunning ! Although I'm certainly not jealous, it hasn't snowed in London yet and I hope it doesn't. I am so not a fan of the cold !

  41. Gosh you did get some snow. All we seem to have is rain, and then more rain, and interminable grey skies. Somehow a day indoors when it's snowy outside seems so much cosier than a day when it's wet, don't you think.
