Monday

Learning about plants at home and around the neighborhood
Noticing star shapes in almost every flower
Stopping under our wisteria just to inhale
Picking chocolate daisies in our yard
Eating springtime fruits in mass quantities
Teaching myself to crochet hexagons (they're fun!)
Changing the beds and straightening up the bedrooms
Enjoying cupcakes we baked over the weekend
Reading and reading (all three of us)
Another Monday in the life!

  2. Lovely photos. I've been pondering over hexagons - I haven't tried them yet but I do like a nice hexie blanket! Enjoy the rest of your week. x

And those cupcakes with sprinkles, yummy !!! First on IG, now here, and both times the photos make me drool like Homer Simpson, looking at a donut !

  4. Gorgeous wisteria, it's one of my favourite plants. I grew a huge mauve one up the house I used to live in. There was a stone balcony that it trailed around. Last year I bought a tiny white one. I have big hopes for it. Love freshly washed sheets, I've done the same here today, and freshly baked cake. Life is good. CJ xx

  13. Beautiful pics, as always. It's so refreshing to see children with books in their hands instead of something technological (even my 6-year-old Grandbaby has a tablet, it makes me despair!). Only books allowed here when she comes for overnighters - and maybe a Disney DVD or two, we love 'em! Thanks for popping over to mine, Jennifer. Always great to 'hear' from you. xxx

  16. Your Wisteria is so pretty! I never noticed the star shapes in flowers before but you're right.
I enjoyed your comment about GB and "silly boys". I think she would have fun with Alaina too.

  17. All three reading, that is what I call bliss! Both my boys are readers, for which I am eternally thankful. Lots of electronic stuff too, we don't live in a vacuum, but my heart always fills with happiness when I see them with a book in their hands X

  18. Hi Jennifer, nice to see a comment from you again. I am so envious of your wisteria. I have been trying to grow them for years, but without success - lots of foliage but never any flowers. I do everything the books tell you... whereas my neighbour has no interest in gardening, doesn't look after plants, yet she has a wisteria that thrives! Grrrr! Lovely photos.

  19. Hey Jennifer,
I love Mondays! Yours looks similar to mine. Apart from the cake. Your wisteria looks amazing. My Dad has one growing over the back of his house. It is simply stunning, and the smell is wonderful.
    Have a happy week.

  20. A wonderful start to the week. It's lovely to see your children enjoying their books, my two used to be the same when they were young and they loved being read to too but they lost interest as they got older. They only read for pleasure occasionally these days, I'm hoping they'll come back to it again once their studies are finished, we'll see. Your bed linen is so pretty. We've just decorated our bedroom so I've been splashing out on a new duvet cover. I had an idea of what I wanted but ended up with something totally different.
