Yarn Along

I'm back to working on my ripple throw this week. I find the mindlessness of it soothing and relaxing right now. The little cardigan I shared last week is almost finished. I'm still mostly enjoying the ripple; it can get a little tedious after a while, and it isn't growing as quickly as it was a few weeks ago, but I really appreciate having a project I can work on here and there.

I think I'm reading even less than I'm crocheting right now. At night, after a long day of nurse-mothering, I'm kind of collapsing on the couch with snacks and something on the TV. Last night, it was popcorn, orange soda and Muriel's Wedding (one of my all-time favorite movies) on Netflix. I'm still reading the Nora Ephron collection I shared last week, and have been thumbing through this book too, Other People's Rejection Letters, which I found at the library. It's depressing and hilarious at the same time.

(Hey, come back on Friday, I have a surprise for you!)

  4. Love your description of the book, sounds interesting.
I eat popcorn every night, I have a slight addiction. I do
make it on the stovetop with coconut oil and sprinkle it
with nutritional yeast so at least I tell myself it's healthy.

  5. Nothing as good as crashing on the couch in the evening, after a busy day ! Preferably with a good film and lots of unhealthy snacks (the unhealthier, the yummier ;-))) ! Go for it, you deserve it !!

  16. You and yours have been much in my thoughts. It's good that you have been able to work at least a little bit on your stitching projects and read a bit, and watch a movie you enjoy...and you're halfway through the week...yay :) I frogged the start of a baby blanket and have completed six rows of a new 16"x22" in multi-color pinks with a bit of green in acrylic. Cheering you on and sending some hugs, Jennifer :) xx

  18. I think you're doing the right thing, going with the flow right now. You must be worn out with all the nursing, not to mention worrying. Don't forget to look after yourself too.

  23. Hon, you're doing the most important calling god created. To nurture and nurse your family and that can be exhausting. I hope you have energy in time to come to enjoy your hobbies but know that your value to your family and specifically LB at present is invaluable. Go easy on yourself, rest when you can and take each day at a time sweet lady. J9x
